What we cannot help with
We publish general explanations. We are not able to look up, confirm, calculate or change anybody's State Pension, tax code or benefit entitlement, and we have no access to any government record. Please do not send us a National Insurance number, a pension reference, bank details or copies of official letters — we have no use for them and would have to delete them.

- Check your State Pension forecast — your own record and estimated entitlement.
- Contact HMRC — tax codes, Simple Assessment and Income Tax on pension income.

If you think a figure or a statement on this site is wrong, we would genuinely like to know. Tell us which article and which line, and we will check it against the official source and correct it with a visible revision date if it needs correcting.
